Quest for the Sun

Horus has stolen the Sun and you must get it back!

As Ra the Sun god you must travel across the desert and fight through hordes of creatures controlled by Horus with the power of the Sun (this is how I'm explaining why Ra can't just god-smack Horus).

(I know little about Egyptian gods and the like and the story came to me when looking at pictures and half understood googling, so I apologize in advance if it doesn't make any sense or offends anyone)

This is my entry for the Dave Microwave Game Jam (https://itch.io/jam/the-dave-microwave-game-jam theme was"Egypt"). It's simple and short and  I didn't get nearly as much done as I hoped but it works, more or less.

Things that were planned:
-more enemies with more behaviors
-dialog for characters, maybe more characters
-level design that wasn't just slapped together at the last minute
-sound effects for everything
-a million little things
